About Us
Origin Story
Hi, Iām Amanda, Founder.
I've been an executive business coach for over 10 years, primarily focusing on the high-tech sector. Throughout my career, I've worked with numerous cofounders and found that their interpersonal dynamics are crucial to achieving lasting business success. I used to joke that I was providing marriage counseling for "work wives and husbands," and this insight eventually led me to create The Modern Finishing School.
My goal is to bridge the gap often left by traditional executive coaching by integrating holistic wellness practices. I aim to offer the business acumen that typical counseling services lack, drawing from my extensive experience as a consultant for Series A and B startups to C-suite executives at multiple Fortune 50 companies.
My journey into executive coaching began out of a passion for helping leaders navigate the complexities of their professional relationships. Early in my career, I noticed how the personal dynamics between cofounders could make or break a business. This realization inspired me to delve deeper into the human side of business, beyond just the numbers and strategies.
Successful businesses have leaders who were not only smart and driven but also emotionally intelligent and mindful of their well-being. This led me to explore various holistic wellness practices and incorporate them into my coaching. Seeing the positive impact on my clients' lives and businesses, I decided to formalize this approach, which eventually became The Modern Finishing School.
By blending business expertise with holistic wellness practices, I help leaders not only achieve their professional goals but also thrive personally.
